Target Discovery and Veritomyx are working together to save lives, avoid unnecessary side effects, and reduce medical costs for ovarian and prostate cancer patients by developing advanced chemical and computational techniques for protein sequencing.

Veritomyx is delivering reconfigurable computing for high-accuracy protein sequencing and isoform determination from tandem mass spectrometry data. Moving beyond standard protein identification, Target Discovery designed this new capability to enable development of their personalized-medicine Isonostic(tm) products. Isonostics(tm) are diagnostics based on isoformic analysis that are expected to assist oncologists in tailoring cancer treatment enabled by new tumor aggressiveness assays for prostate cancer and better chemotherapy selection for ovarian cancer.

These techniques will be applicable in general for other areas of cancer, medical, and biological proteomic research where high accuracy proteomics, including isoformics, are key.
